Robot Chicken on Adult Swim has one of the best parodies of the hopelessly inaccurate movie 300, which completely white-washed history while setting new standards in entertainment, gore, and one-liners. Internationally this created quite a stir, with Iran claiming it a deliberate attempt (it was actually) to malign their culture (assuming the movie's audience knew that Iran was somehow linked to Persians). It also demonstrated Hollywood's continued ability to whitewash even the most well established historical records.
